Carry-on, always - never the cargo hold
Put peptides in the bag that stays with you. Checked luggage rides in a hold whose temperature is not controlled for medication: it can get hot on the tarmac and drop below freezing at altitude, and freezing is one of the surest ways to damage a peptide. A lost or delayed checked bag also means a lost supply. Carrying them with you also lets you declare the cooling packs to a screening officer, which the checked-bag route does not.
Keeping them in range
For a mixed vial, the target is the fridge range (2-8 C) for as much of the trip as you can manage. A small insulated bag or medication cooler with gel packs holds that range for hours. TSA lets ice, freezer, and gel packs through screening to keep medically necessary items cold - frozen, partially frozen, or melted for medically necessary gel packs - as long as you declare them for inspection. Aim to cool, not freeze: resting a mixed vial directly against a hard-frozen pack can freeze the solution, which you are trying to avoid, so add a cloth layer between them.
The powder move
The single best travel decision is to carry the peptide as unmixed, sealed powder and reconstitute only when you arrive. Freeze-dried powder is stable at room temperature for the length of a normal trip, which sidesteps the whole cold-chain problem. Bring your bacteriostatic water and syringes, mix at the destination, and then the only thing that needs refrigeration is what you have actually opened.
At the destination
Hotel mini-fridges are the usual weak point - many run warm or cycle unevenly, so a vial you assume is at 4 C may be sitting warmer. If precision matters, check it, and keep the insulated bag and a spare set of gel packs as a fallback. In a hot car, never leave vials in the cabin or a closed trunk; heat degrades peptides quickly, powder and solution alike.

Can you bring peptides on a plane?
Peptides and the supplies to use them are not on TSA's prohibited list, and TSA allows medically necessary liquids and the cooling packs to keep them cold in reasonable quantities, declared at the checkpoint. Do peptides need to stay cold while traveling?
A reconstituted (mixed) vial should stay in the fridge range (2-8 C), so travel it in an insulated bag with gel packs and get it into a refrigerator on arrival. Unmixed powder is far more forgiving and tolerates the trip at room temperature - which is why traveling with the powder and mixing at your destination is the easiest approach.
