How the math works
A weight/volume percent solution is definitional: a 1% solution is 10 mg/mL, so 0.5% is 5 mg/mL and 2% is 20 mg/mL. From there, the volume for a dose is just the dose divided by the concentration, and drops are that volume times how many drops your dropper puts in a millilitre (around 20, but it varies). The concentration and volume numbers are exact; the drop count is an estimate, because drop size is not standardized. When precision matters, measure by volume.
